Every year, thousands of Canadians living with sleep apnea go untreated because they cannot afford the equipment needed for therapy. Some have no insurance coverage, while others face high deductibles or limited reimbursement. Many of these individuals live without the restful sleep and health benefits that CPAP therapy can provide.
If you have a CPAP or BiPAP machine that you are no longer using, your generosity can make a real difference. Donating your gently used equipment helps someone regain healthy sleep, prevents valuable devices from ending up in landfills, and supports a compassionate, community-driven cycle of care.
CPAP, BiPAP, oxygen concentrators, and other respiratory equipment are medical devices and must be used only under the guidance of a licensed healthcare professional and with a valid prescription.
If you know someone who may need a device, encourage them to speak with their healthcare provider, then contact us.
We gladly accept the following pre-owned equipment:
If you’re unsure whether your equipment is suitable, simply ask - we will gladly review the details.
ZeroApnea.org is a community-led volunteer initiative dedicated to collecting, cleaning, and redistributing gently used CPAP and BiPAP machines to people in need, free of charge.
We are not a registered charity and do not accept money donations or issue tax receipts. Our efforts rely entirely on volunteers and in-kind equipment contributions from caring individuals like you.
All donations are handled responsibly and with respect. Every donor signs a simple transfer form confirming ownership transfer and release of liability. Every machine is inspected, sanitized, and prepared for safe redistribution.
We have partnered with Canada Post so donors across Canada can ship their equipment to us free of charge.
Whether you live in Ottawa or anywhere else in the country, the donation process is simple and identical for all donors.
